Property On Crete

This village is set on the north coast, 4.5km east of Sitia. It has some excellent tavernas and kafenions, plus a supermarket and a selection of rooms, villas and apartments for rent. The entire village has a wide vista over the beautiful Bay of Sitia.

There are hills behind the village and a flat plateau that leads down to the sea.

Much of the area around the village contains archaeological sites with one place being from the pre-Minoan era. There is the biggest cemetery on Hellenic ground that dates from the Bronze Age
and consists of over 200 burial sites.

This area has been a popular area with overseas buyers as well as the Greeks and many renovations have been taking place for several years and is destined to remain one of the prime real estate sites in East Crete.

Aghia Fotia is 4.5 km from Sitia and 14 KM from Palekastro. Aghia Fotia is 30 metres above sea level.
