We first met George and Joy in a cafe in Kato Zakros when we were thinking of buying in that area. We quickly became probably the most difficult of clients as we nearly bought a house in Zakros and then nearly bought a house in Adravasti. Both were big renovations and, in the end, we felt that neither house was quite right for us and our budget.
Not a word of criticism from Property on Crete, just patience and understanding and a desire to help us find our perfect holiday home. A year later, we have got there. On yet another day of viewings, George saved the best to last and promised us a traditional house we would fall in love with. Although it was hard to imagine the finished building, it was easy to see the potential. We had finally found our house.
And then the fun began with George guiding us all the way, from opening a bank account to accompanying us in the notary’s office when the actual contract was signed. George then acted as the project manager, working with the builder, for the renovations of our house, sending photographs at various stages and ensuring that we were kept informed between our visits.
We have just enjoyed our first family holiday in our new home just one year after first seeing it and 10 months after buying it. We are enormously grateful to George and his team for all that they have done. They are extremely knowledgeable and always there to help with matters or give advice when the need arises.
