We fell in love with this beautiful island

We first visited Crete in 2003 and fell in love with this beautiful Greek island, After several visits starting from the far west, we searched for a place to build or buy or dream home. Within only a few minutes of arriving at Sitia we knew this was it, this place so far off the tourist map.

With wonderful views and a vibrant Greek town, with local people who were so very welcoming. Everyone we met was so helpful maybe because it is just full of local people doing their days work in a very idyllic location that are not jaded by coachloads of tourists.

Well the next step was to find somewhere to live or build. At this point we were lucky enough to find George and his team, they listened to what was important to us, they made lists of places to see and very quickly we were out in the car an looking at property and plots. It was all very efficient and easy, within the first day we had found exactly what we were looking for, which had taken almost 3 years. We purchased our plot at the end of 2006. The buying process was made so simple, even though we were back in England, to the point of arranging to have our contract fully and professionally translated (which gave us a great peace of mind), the whole process was monitored by Georges office and we were kept informed at every stage. In England I have been a partner in an estate agents for some twenty years so our expectations to the level of service are particularly high, and it really was. The big thing is it doesn't end there. George and the Property on Crete team since our sale completed have been a fountain of information and a great help. An amazing service which we still feel we enjoy. Any sort of property transaction is very stressful, but this was not the case with our purchase of Crete, it was a very pleasant experience one which I can highly recommend.
