The important first step
In order to purchase any property or land in Greece you are required to have a Greek Tax Number which is issued by the local tax office. You will need to provide your passport as well as a full birth certificate showing the names of both your parents,and your mother's maiden name. If you intend to buy jointly with a partner these documents are required for both persons. The full birth certificate must show the names of both your parents. Remember to bring these documents with you.
